Our Story

"Ekush Wealth Management Limited was founded by a group of long-time friends who have shared a bond since their school, college, and university days. With a strong passion for Bangladesh’s capital market, we came together with a common vision—to build a company that would better serve investors through ethical, thoughtful, and client-focused asset management.

Early in our careers, we identified a critical need for an institution that prioritized investor interests, transparency, and professional integrity. Motivated by this, we set out to create Ekush. To strengthen our foundation, we welcomed two of the most respected names in the financial sector: Md. Waliullah, FCA (Chairman) and Swadesh Ranjan Saha, FCA (Vice-Chairman), whose experience has been pivotal to our growth.

In 2019, Ekush Wealth Management was officially registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) and licensed by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). The following year, we launched our first mutual fund, beginning our journey of serving investors across the country.

Today, we manage three mutual funds and serve over 600 clients. We remain committed to delivering research-driven, transparent investment solutions with a focus on long-term value and trusted client relationships."

Our Differences

Service Icon
Owner-Operator Business Model

Founders of Ekush have invested a substantial portion of their own wealth into Ekush and the fund they manage. These founders are also directly involved in investment decisions, portfolio management, and strategic direction. This aligns their interests with those of their clients and demonstrates a personal commitment to the firm’s performance.

Service Icon
Commitment to Inclusivity

The lion’s share of Ekush’s managed funds comes from individual investors rather than corporate clients. Ekush strives to reach individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that its investment opportunities are accessible to a wide range of people. Ekush is focused on breaking down barriers that might prevent certain groups from taking investment management services.

Service Icon
Industry Lowest Fee Structure

Ekush takes pride in providing the industry’s lowest fees, allowing clients to retain more of their returns. This cost-effective approach doesn’t sacrifice service quality; instead, Ekush upholds a high standard of asset management. Clients benefit from exceptional service and strong investment performance, all without the burden of high costs.

Service Icon
Dynamic Asset Allocation Strategy

Ekush believes that a Dynamic Asset Allocation strategy is more suitable for Bangladesh, given the market volatility and economic uncertainty that usually prevails. This approach allows Ekush to continuously adjust the allocation between equity and fixed-income securities, striving to optimize the portfolio in response to changing market conditions.

Investment Philosophy

“At Ekush, we operate in a capital market that is dynamic, evolving, and often highly unpredictable. In Bangladesh, both the equity and money markets are characterized by frequent volatility, liquidity fluctuations, and sudden interest rate shifts. Importantly, developments in the money market—whether changes in liquidity, central bank policy, or interest rates—often have a direct and immediate impact on equity market performance. In such an interconnected and fast-moving environment, we firmly believe that active management is not just preferable, but essential.

Our philosophy is centered around active investment management—a disciplined, adaptive approach across both equity and fixed income space that enables us to manage risk proactively while capturing opportunities when they arise.

For our equity oriented funds, namely “EKUSH First Unit Fund” and “EKUSH Growth Fund”, we follow a research-driven, tactical asset allocation strategy in response to the market’s oscillating nature, recognizing that asset allocation is the primary driver of long-term returns. We remain agile, adjusting exposure across sectors and asset classes (equity and fixed income) based on changing macroeconomic conditions and market sentiment. This optimization enables us to protect capital during downturns and maximize returns during rallies. Our equity portfolios are composed of mid to large-cap companies with strong fundamentals, solid governance, and sustainable earnings potential.

For EKUSH Stable Return Fund, our strategy is equally active and deliberate. We invest across a diversified spectrum of high-quality instruments, including government treasury bills and bonds, fixed deposits (FDRs) with AAA-rated banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), and select corporate bonds with strong credit profiles.

Our fixed income fund management is guided by two core principles:

  1. Active Duration Management – We continuously monitor macroeconomic indicators, interest rate trends, and liquidity conditions to adjust portfolio duration and enhance risk-adjusted returns.
  2. Prudent Credit Risk Assessment – Capital preservation remains our priority. Each investment is subjected to rigorous credit analysis to ensure we maintain a high-quality portfolio and minimize default risk.

At EKUSH Wealth Management, we recognize that investing in Bangladesh requires more than market knowledge—it demands foresight, flexibility, and resilience. Through a balanced yet agile investment framework, we strive to protect capital, seize opportunities, and build wealth in a market that rewards discipline and insight.”
