Maximise your tax rebate
You can claim a maximum tax rebate of BDT 24,000 — calculated as 3% of your taxable income of BDT 8,00,000. To claim it in full, invest BDT 2,40,000 more before 30 June 2027, reducing your net tax to BDT 21,000. You can invest the full amount in Ekush-managed funds, or split it between Ekush-managed funds and Government securities.
This is an indicative estimate based on the Finance Act 2026 (Assessment Year 2026-27). The salary exemption is the lower of one-third of salary income or BDT 5,00,000. Investment rebate is the lowest of 3% of taxable income, 10% of eligible investment, or BDT 7,50,000, and is forfeited if the return is filed after Tax Day. Government securities / Sanchayapatra are capped at BDT 5,00,000 of eligible investment; mutual-fund / open-end / unit investment is treated as new investment, subject to a maturity condition. The net-wealth surcharge is applied on the slab tax (before rebate) when you enter your net assets; minimum tax is a flat BDT 5,000 (BDT 1,000 for first-time taxpayers) regardless of location. Consult a tax advisor for your final assessment.
