What is a SIP?
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is a standing instruction that invests a fixed amount from your bank account into an open-end mutual fund every month — automatically buying units at that day's NAV (net asset value). It is the same monthly-saving habit Bangladeshis trust in a DPS, but your money goes into a professionally managed, diversified portfolio with real growth potential.
With Ekush Wealth Management Limited — a BSEC-licensed asset manager (license BSEC/AMC/2019/44) — you can start a SIP from just ৳1,000 a month, choose the fund that matches your goal, and let compounding and discipline do the heavy lifting over the years.
Why invest through a SIP
Start small — from ৳1,000/month
The minimum monthly instalment is ৳1,000 for individuals (৳10,000 for institutions). You don't need to be wealthy to begin.
Taka-cost averaging
Your fixed amount buys more units when prices are low and fewer when high — smoothing your average cost and removing the stress of timing the market.
Automatic discipline
The debit happens on the 5th, 15th or 26th of each month — whichever date you choose — before you can spend the money. No willpower required.
10% tax rebate
Investment in a BSEC-approved mutual fund earns an income-tax rebate (broadly 10% of what you invest, within the law's limits) under the Finance Act 2026.
Professionally managed
Your money is invested in a diversified, BSEC-regulated portfolio, with assets ring-fenced by an independent trustee and custodian.
Flexible tenure
Choose a plan of 3 to 10 years (extendable). At maturity you can continue, hold the matured amount, or transfer it to your bank account.

A SIP quietly solves the June tax scramble. Under the Finance Act 2026, investment in a BSEC-approved mutual fund earns an income-tax rebate — broadly 10% of what you invest, within the law's limits — and a ৳5,000 monthly SIP builds ৳60,000 of rebate-eligible investment across the year without a last-minute lump sum.
On the way out, capital gains on your units are tax-free up to BDT 50 lakh for individual investors — a combination no FDR, DPS or Sanchayapatra matches. The full mechanics are in our tax rebate guide.
